- Gov. Chris Christie hosts the New Jersey Conference of Mayors' fall summit at Drumthwacket, the state-owned governor's mansion in Princeton. He then takes part in a live podcast, part of the 'Conversations on New Jersey Education' series organized by the New Jersey School Boards Association.
- Associate Justice Anne Patterson is ceremonially sworn in as a member of the state Supreme Court in a ceremony at the Trenton War Memorial. She began the job last week, more than 15 months after she was first nominated. In addition to Patterson, speakers include Christie, Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean Jr.
